CAL Summer Classes
 

Any info out there on CAL new hire classes (dates/aircraft/domiciles) this summer?

Last I heard was two a month for a total of about 24 per month May through Sep. I am off to do union work today at CAL ALPA and tonight is the new hire welcome pizza and beer night so I find out and post later.

Overheard a conversation with people in recruiting stating the same numbers. Also one of our flight instructors indicated the rumor they're hearing (at the moment) is they may not be returning to the line over the summer to fly, but are staying to train.

It seems to me that 30 (random number) instuctors could crank out more than 30 pilots over the course of the summer, and considdering that there is already a staffing problem here, WE need more peeps!!!
