Big "D" still interviewing?
 

Is Delta still interviewing? Have had my stuff in since first opening and haven't heard a peep.

Yep. hey did not interview last week. Two of my friends are going tomorrow and the next day. The next slew of calls (e-mails) should be going out this week. There will be a lot more calls after the Air Inc. meet and greet next week. Jon will be there, it may be worth your time if you can make it out there.

Are the called applicants having there info walked in or are they just submitting it with the Airline Apps? I have had my stuff in on the Airline Apps for quite a while, but am having a hard time getting noticed in the "pile".!?!

Well it depends on your quals. If you are a Line check airman, CP or in WIA you should have gotten noticed. If you are not then it may be sometime. They are taking WIA, OJAP and instructors first. Of course they are taking legacies as well. The friends and family plan is alive and well.
That said there are many people with no contacts that get interview every week. You just have to be one of the lucky few that are getting through. Jon Swift is the only person that decides who gets that call. If you can read his mind then you are better than anyone else that I know.

What is OJAP? When is your class date?

Sorry, it is the Organization of the Black pilots of America. Not sure what their official name is. I just had a few buddies that are members get hired through it. OBAP. Can't type sorry.

I am in the 16 of April class. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will be an ATL class. From what I have heard it will mostly be ATL 88 B slots.

AL65, Congratulations on the class date! When did they give it to you and do you know if it's full? That's the first that I've heard of that specific date. I was told to expect something late May/early June, but of course haven't heard anything yet. Wouldn't mind getting slid into April, but I don't expect that. Thanks, and again Congrats!

I got a call a few days ago. I was told I was slated for that class about two weeks ago, but you know how that goes.
There is a May and June class.
I think that the people that are in the April class interviewed the first and second full weeks of Feb. I have not talked to anyone in the Feb 12-14 time frame that has gotten a call, but by the numbers they should be in class as well. The ones after that will be my. The ones interviewing this week will be June. A min of 20 per class. Last class was 20 MD-88B NYC and 2 ALT 88B slots. The April class will have mostly ATL slots. There is another advancement that is coming out and there will be more movement. FWIW
