I'll write "we" as much as I damn well please. It seems the idea of teamwork is a dying entity. Our management has to make decisions that are going to benefit us in the long run - even if every pilot doesn't agree with it.
For the record, I am not management and have no aspirations of ever becoming so. I just love my job and believe we are providing a superior product. I look forward to further invading Velocitard's territory. (I only use such sophomoric rhetoric because that seems to be the language with which he most familiar.) Apparently, you take offense at someone asking you to scrutinize things a little. Obviously, for you, if the logbook is clean there is no need to do a walk around. Or, if the mechanic says "it will fly," it will fly. Or, if the company says "you shouldn't be fatigued," you're not fatigued. (Stay in the right seat, dude). So yes, you can say "we" as much as you damn well please. But, if you really believe that your management team is making decisions to benefit you (the employee) in the long run, then I know you are too far gone to converse with. Enjoy your career and "your" superior product. |

That is not a valid argument. Why not get rid of all the seats...imagine how much fuel you could save
I still think a row of PAX (6) would have made more money despite the extra F/A....however the marketing gimmick of "more leg room" might outweigh this, especially in a time when airlines are desperate for any degree of product differentiation. actually the removal of the 6 seats and one FA will save 900lbs of fuel on JB's average a320 leg . salary and benefits savings alone for the removal on the fa was $30mill over 5 years. fuel savings alone is a lot more than the profit they could make for those 6 extra seats on the few times and routes when they are sold out over the life of the plane. the FA savings will pay for management's inconpetency on feb 14th. that's the way this industry works: they screw up, we pay , they make money, we don't, simple as that. |

Google: Jim Jones. I'm not taking to whole "we" thing personally. I love my job and I'm glad I'm where I am. I'm not the least bit worried about having a job when contract renewal comes up. I guess if I worked at a union company I would have a deeper sense of job security. hahahahaha. |
And here she is...check out the tail fin design

Nothing wrong with Cessna - as long as you own one. |
