Anyone remember this??
Will try to attach this for your viewing pleasure...
If it doesn't work, I'll modify and try again. Thought you might get a kick out of this. Ahhhh, the good ole days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKqQgNZylLw |
Thanks for the memories.
I interviewed with Pan Am at their training center on 36th Street in Miami on a Saturday, back in September of 1988, got back to Connecticut on Sunday morning, got a call from Pan Am at about noon that Sunday, asking if I could be in class at 9 AM the next day. Of course I said Yes. So bright and early Monday, myself and 15 other new hires sat in a classroom in that training facility and one of the first things they did, after a short "welcome to Pan American World Airways" speech from the System Chief Pilot, was to show us the film (on YouTube) entitled "Pan Am 747 over Florida." I remember, like it was yesterday, the pride I felt at being a Pan Am pilot. What a feeling to wear that white hat. A few weeks later, I was home for the weekend and was talking with one of my neighbors, who sold copier equipment and the like. I told him I'd been hired by Pan Am, and how great a company it was. He told me that he wouldn't sell them a ream of paper for anything other than cash. A crushing blow. A few months later we had the horrific loss of Pan Am Clipper Maid of the Seas on December 21, over Lockerbie, Scotland. Shortly thereafter the airline folded up and went away. Very, very sad. :( |

Hey!
That looks exactly like Eddie Murphy's SNL skit! "How white people act when black folks ain't around!" Now there's documented proof! :) Thanks windowseat! Onfinal |
That was Easy
Not sure bout you folks, but over
here at AA that looked like a current movie. Sure, some things have changed, Like we prefer you don't smoke, but the young beautiful Stews look just the same. Of course the food has changed somewhat Now we serve condensed food. The same amount of calories but served up in a small metal foil pack. No dout that all our passengers wear Jackets and Ties and Sunday best clothes. I am quite sure they change right before they get on as to be more comfortable while traveling. Seems like the children traveling on the plane don't look much different, Well mannered, clean and doing what their parents tell them to do. Never any screaming babies or kids that trash the plane. No Sir, Not here at the big Double A And the most amazing fact here is that the airfare has not increased 1 thin dime in the 40 years since this film was made. Gotta love the flying public. Thanks for all the discount airlines out there making travel affordable for the Billy Bobs and the Trailer trash. Now see what -u- done. |
what do the discount airlines have to do with the orice of tea in china. companies like SW are succesfull because the treat their people right. The majors could have done the same and they would all be as good as SW. using your argument i should be upset that the car was made afordable so other people could have one and now they are to blame for all the traffic not the towns that don't know how to design roads.
