I have the panel video interview next week. Can anyone shed some light on what to expect in the interview? Thanks!

Good for you. For a seat on the E195, the A220 or either?

The E195 operates and pays too much like an E175 IMO. Why leave Skywest, Envoy or Republic on the E175 for a 3-year seat lock on a “regional” E195? Everyone is different in terms of preferences, but I’d put in for the A220 personally given the variety of potential flying - but whatever floats your boat I guess…

Regardless, GOOD LUCK on your interview and let us know how it goes!

a lot of TMAT questions, they want to get to know you better. Get your answers in order and take a look at the mission statement and core values.

Why be stuck in a regional when you could fly for a company that has the scaling potential to compete against any LCC or Legacy in regards to competitive routes? Or the availing to have stock options and profit sharing? Or the ability to have input in the sculpture of the culture?

220 vs E195 argument is moot. If you were in on the inside you would know what the bigger picture is. It’s a start-up. Pay isn’t the greatest but that will change soon. Proving to be profitable and having the load factors we are having shows the product is working and the future is bright. Staying at a regional, playing the same games day in and out for the big three is great advice..keep giving it man.

Thanks! It’s for the E195 spot. I’ll keep you updated!

Sincere question. Why do you want to work for this airline with every other legacy hiring at this point?

Got the offer last week.

Any word on projected growth on the 190 side? Junior bases? What’s the current pilot group size and how are the upgrades going so far?

The first 190 to enter service will be flying up to ISP any day now to start conformity with the FAA as well.

the A220’s don’t start deliveries until October. Won’t be on the line until after new year sometime. So 220 training won’t realistically start until sometime in late fall if I had to guess.

My opinion is that Everything now is for a pilot pool unless they have to run another Ejet class between now and the fall.
Not even close huh? Looks like only hiring for 190/195 and so far that’s all that’s been added to the fleet. I wouldn’t call them deliveries either, they just took more Azul planes out of storage. We’ll see how this pans out but they are already not living up to the promise.
Seems to turn out to be just like every other startup. Flying old cheap airplanes and paying pilots regional pay. Nothing new to see here. Same old tricks. Good luck to you all.

I interviewed last week. It was just as described above. When I received the offer information, they included the pay scale. Minimum is 70 hours per month at $55/hr. Not great, but not horrible.

If you live in one of their bases (ORF, CHS, MSY, TPA) the out and back flying on the 190 would be nice. You would be home every night in your own bed. Unfortunately that makes it difficult for commuters. Even after commuting to base to fly, you’ll be paying for hotels between flights.
