Just applied through the site. Want to relocate back to Tampa, flying charter in Cali in my hometown right now. Environment and QOL sounds pleasant for a young family, wondering about pay, upgrade time (been multi turbine PIC for a couple years), and base seniority. Any info is much appreciated. 🤙
TPA is the most senior base. Popular with in base and commuter pilots. Probably the most productive base. Most likely take at least 6 months if not longer to get in.
Pay is abysmal specially for FO’s. They keep saying there’s a raise coming but for now it’s terrible.
The guys who live in base love it and have great QOL. Most open time is picked up for double time + $500. So there’s opportunities to make extra dough.
PBS has really improved the QOL for the top 50% in each base. The bottom is getting scraps. Upgrade time is between 8-12 months.
Better than a regional (specially if you live in base) still a long way to go to even come close to the other LCC’s

Sounds like you applied for the 190. Seniority is TPA MSY CHS ORF, I believe (it keeps changing)

Thanks a bunch. I tried digging through the mess that is this thread, looks like the common theme is that 1st year FO pay is a joke. I mean it could be barely more than 50 percent my current wage. Can’t really come to bat if TPA is out of the question right out of the gate, but I can suffer bad pay for 12 months to have a decent environment and be home from relaxed routes every night. I’d like to at least talk to them.

For the senior guys it has improved a bit. But the lack of flying on Tuesday-Wednesday and Saturday makes it really hard to build efficiency. Most commuters I would say are looking at different carriers. The 220’s will be way more commuter friendly but everyone on property aside from cadre are locked into the 190 for 3 years. I would not come to BreeZe to be a commuter.

Would be hard if not impossible to go anywhere but Tampa for peanuts. We’re talkin a 40k pay cut if first year FO is ~60. I’m young but that’s too low. If it wasn’t for TPA being the center of it all I’d never consider it. But since it is, and since the camaraderie sounds like my style… I wouldn’t mind seeing my babies every night. I’d like to talk to them. Thanks for the info. Any more feedback is welcome. This thread is pretty tough to weed through

Can’t really go to bat anywhere but TPA. Especially for what looks like a 40k pay cut the first year. Thanks for the info. I’d still love to talk to them. Being home every night is worth 117/hr or whatever. I’m only 26 and have a young family. Long term not sure what the plan is but who knows, this might fit the bill for a while. I wouldn’t mind going the distance if things improve too. I always find another role to fill I.e. instructor, check airman, etc so could be a good time to get integrated somewhere I could do it. Any other feedback is appreciated.

most of aviation is being able to sniff though the bull**** and think for yourself if you can estimate a job paying off long term. You can find a $100k aviation job a dime a dozen, but will it ever pay more than that? A lot of corporate jobs start you out at the top of the pay scale; not a good place to be. Think for yourself if Breeze is a good fit for yourself and your family, if not, move on or stay put. Who knows how it will ply out with breeze getting a pay raise, my dollar says the company will have to cave and give in to one very soon. Other than that, how will being super senior at a brand new company “pay off” to you? I’d give up pay to be home based and senior, but that’s just me. Ask yourself these questions.

They’re getting apps and giving out CJO’s for the 190. A lot of ppl are just curious and apply to see if they’ll get called. However the 220 pilots they need must have more experience because of insurance/FAA reasons. 4000TT was what I heard and guys with that kind of time are going to legacies and other better LCC’s.
