Can anyone shed some light on what the current schedules are like on the E190? I’m thinking if I get hired I’d probably my commute for the first year and see where bases open up.

New to PBS so would it be possible to work six days twice a month? I’d want to spend the least amount of days commuting as possible.

Breeze is probably the least commutable airline out there. Most bases don’t operate flights on Saturday, tue-wed. It makes it nearly impossible to bunch your days together and get all the flying done. Throw in reserve with 11 days off, you will never be home.

Thanks for that info! That definitely opens my eyes. I wonder if that will change as they expand? Reserve can’t be that long can it?

Some of this depends on where the A220s will be based and the number of A220s delivered in 2022. If you want to sleep in base, apply for the E190s. If you want a more traditional airline with multi-day trips and layovers, apply separately for the A220s. Everyone has been told the A220 operation would begin in the Spring but no definitive date yet that I have seen. With all of the hiring at the majors and LCCs, I am sure recent A220 new hires waiting for training are getting other offers if they have multiple applications out. Regardless, looking forward to hearing about the expansion plans using the A220s in the next few months…

Wishing everyone a great 2022!

Very commutable. I have 20 days off including a block of 11 days straight.

this month i'm crediting about 82 hours. With all these days off, I can pick up critical at 200%, and sometimes with an additional $500 kicker per trip.

Things aren't perfect here, we're new, but they're not half as bad as the negative nancy's try and spew either.

My advice is try and average out the good and the bad you read here, and assume we come in somewhere in the middle.

Good information!! Thanks.

Deciphering the APC forums is half the fun of researching a new potential job.

That sounds decent. Is there a commuter policy? Will the A220 bases be the current 190 bases?
