Street Captain/CQFO
I’m sure it’s in here but without searching the entire thread with its banter, what is there to know about the A220 Street Captain/CQFO program? I did the on-demand video interview earlier today. Are you hired and paid as an FO until you are needed as a captain? Seniority based? Do you start at the Captain rate?

there is a possibility that if and when Ejet pilots transition to the A220, if it happens soon enough into A220 program, that Ejet guys could hold you in the right seat as the Ejet pilot seniority will bump all the DEC down in seniority.

yes, FO pay until in the left seat. You can be used in the left seat as needed and will be paid CA rates in those times. Once you hold a vacant award for CA seat, then CA pay at all times but can still be used in the right seat.

For the pilots that are on the current seniority list , not new hires.

You really don’t know what your talking about.
Delta’s seat pitch is 30-32 in in Econ and Breeze is at 31 in for basic economy. Breeze’s planes have 3 restrooms as standard for 126 seats so the capacity is already there for water etc.
The number of carriers who use containers on A32x is minuscule compared to the number who actually operate the plane. The ULD-3 container the A32x uses is also not the same container that a widebody would use, so they would only be used in the A32x as they would be highly inefficient to use in a widebody.
secondly the whole container discussion is moot as Breeze is a Non-Cargo carrier. We don’t accept or fly ANY cargo in our planes.
Breeze already has a configuration for lie flat seats. That configuration is even less seats than the current 126, but not that many.

Have you seen the modeling of what the Legacies need as a whole for the next 5-8 years? It's like 17,000 pilots needed just for the majors/legacies, FedEx and UPS. The entire regional airline industry is less than 17,000 pilots. This pilot shortage is very real and is extremely dire. There is reason why the majors getting involved with zero to hero flight training programs for future staffing. The regionals have literally zero idea how they are going to attract pilots and most if not all of them have pathway/flow programs to the legacies/majors. Where in the hell are places like Breeze and Avelo going to find pilots? Breeze hasn't even been operating that long (about a year?) and already has to find foreign pilots to staff it. Why would anyone go there over other airlines? You basically need the same quals to work for Breeze right now, as you do Delta. Delta is hiring pilots without degrees and giving CJOs for future sim dates because they can't staff quickly enough...
