Most ppl came to breeze because they were told this was the new JetBlue but with virgin America culture. 50 % of the original guys moved on, the ones who stayed, either live in base or are trying to ride the seniority train to see where it takes them. there has been a few who turned down jobs at UA and AA to stay. Problem with breeze is that seniority doesn’t mean anything unless you’re the top 2 guys in base. It’s the allegiant model to a T, a bunch of small bases all over the place. The top 2 guys have amazing QOL. the rest, not really, even though they might be top 10% in the company. Breeze is not going under but getting bought is a real possibility. It’s pretty obvious that management just wants to cash in during IPO, after that most of them will likely leave.

I doubt you will see anyone interested in a purchase. They have a oddball fleet no major would want. JetBlue might have been a option but that’s off the table.

The Ejets are all leased under utilization (they only pay when they fly) the A220 could be a way for Swa to diversify a bit.

They couldn’t get rid of the last 100-130 seat jet they owned fast enough.

Default Why I Left Breeze

I moved to Breeze because they promised my family an unparalleled QOL if we were just willing to relocate. I left Breeze because it wasn’t the case. It wasn’t even a week into us having relocated from TX to FL when they announced the FL base (TPA) would become an all A220 domicile. What stinks is it came from the C-suite of the airline. Middle management either didn’t know or deserved an Academy award performance.

The promised quick upgrade, high credit day turns only became “3-5 day charters” with lots of days spent up N in the cold at hotels when they realized they could turn a buck. But, they didn’t have the infrastructure or the people to pull it off so I know a lot of the charter customers were very displeased with the thrown together product we were doing. They even tried to lower our 121 service volume to do more charters which was really concerning to me. I get trying to make more money, it just was further proof to me personally the vision I had been sold was not the true vision of the airline long-term. Another year like last and Breeze will likely be blackballed from charters as universities will warn each other to steer clear because the extra dollars to have another airline do it the right way are worth it. Make no mistake, middle management will try to make you feel appreciated but upper management rules the company and begs middle management to try to clean up their messes. I went around the same time as 2 other friends from the DFW area. We all could not have been more excited and none of us lasted more than 6 months before taking CJOs elsewhere.

Do yourself a favor, wait out the card drive. It needs to pass to give the pilots a voice and to put some ink to the verbal promises Breeze loves to throw out and then change. However, Breeze also might become a terrible place to work if it passes. The video of Neeleman begging the pilots to give Breeze a chance is comical. How about those of us who did Mr. DN? How about the ones who literally had the vision you sold them completely thrown away because you wanted to make a few more bucks? I don’t see ALPA passing being received well. Either stay where you’re at and wait this out, hear how it goes and how management reacts. Or, if you’re like me and time is on your side, go to an established airline and build seniority the natural way. I learned quickly the risk was not worth the reward. I sleep well at night seeing my 401k increase greatly and my seniority go up steadily at my new home. Hope this helps.

Yea definitely, the A220 would look sweet in Allegiant or Delta colors…… I really hope they don’t get bought out because they’re trying to do some cool things with all the A220s coming. They definitely have plans for long distance international.

Allegiant is barely keeping their heads above water right now running their own airline. I don't see them going on a shopping spree and adding merger/integration pain to their struggling operation and bringing on the 220 with their pending 737 Max acquisition.

Delta buying Breeze? Dream on. Go buy a lottery ticket you're more likely to become a millionaire like that. Oh and you can already see the A220 in Delta colors because they have a ton of them and more on order. I see them all the time in Texas.

Oh okay, good. You had me worried there. Just keep it between the navigational beacons.
