Just looking for the global perspective on whether breeze or Spirit would be a better option for a fresh-out-of-regional-training FO. Few variables are that Breeze would be a drive, Spirit a one leg commute. There are a lot of global differentiators like retirement, size, the JB merger, etc to consider but just making sure I’m not missing something big perspective that will sway this, so let me have it. QOL, upgrade times, reserve length, etc. what does the hive mind have to say?

Career progression to a legacy major…Spirit hands down. There is nothing to consider for the merger as you will be date of hire lined up with Jetblue date of hire. Stability, pay, work rules and retirement are years away at Breeze. Spirit is likely borrowing money as part of the merger process. You are essentially going to work for Jetblue

Would someone currently flying for Breeze be willing to send me a DM? I have some questions about reserve and bases. Thanks

What's the video interview like here? I sent in an app and heard back in a day, then after doing their questionnaire got a link for a video interview within about 20 hours. Just curious if it's more technical or situational, etc. Haven't decided either way on Breeze but figured at a minimum it'd be good to get the reps in and practice interviewing.

The pre recorded one was just 3 or 4 TMAAT type questions. No tech questions on the live interview either. Very laid back.

What's the flight schedule out of JAX look like? Would living on Jacksonville be commutable

Depends on the fleet. Ejet is not commutable at all. It’s day trips and not consecutive either. Might be 3 on and 1 off and 2on and 3 off etc. The A220 might have better commutable schedules since they do overnights. Reserve is 12 off for everyone so that’s pretty not commutable either. There’s also charter where you’re based at home but that’s been mostly senior.
