Well, blue is the right color for BYU.

Breeze Airways

New Airline composed of E195's and A220s.

Breeze will fly non-stop service between places currently without meaningful or affordable service," said Neeleman, Breeze's CEO and president, in a press release.

What does everyone think about this?

More info here than I’ve seen anywhere else.

Anyone else catch that as part of his business model he expects his pilots to make the same as pilots flying EMB-175s? That reads to me not just "to start out" but he thinks he'll be able to maintain that.

looks like East Coast bases to start and pay significantly BELOW E-190 scale elsewhere - at least to start.

it didn’t work for him at JB or even at Azul. I doubt he thinks it would work for him now. But no doubt there will be people that will take a bit of a hit for high seniority. Eventually there will be a competitive CBA or it will fold.

In no way did I read it that way. Where did you see that? Maybe I missed something...

It’s not like a 74-seat airplane that’s a scope airplane like the 175. It’s a fine airplane, but it’s not optimally sized for CASM because their pilots make the same, their maintenance is the same. Their capital cost isn’t more, burns a little less fuel because it’s lighter but they have basically 50 less seats than we do. That allows us to charge lower fares and stimulate the market.”

I assume he’s talking about this.
