They aren’t dumb. This isn’t their first rodeo. Almost every single one of their initial employees was a jetblue and/or virgin early employee. They know what seniority is worth. Why pay any more than RJ wages when people are lined up by the thousands. Works for furloughed or current RJ pilots. Golden handcuffs? Not quite. But how long until major airline hiring resumes? Crossover point for training churn costs to exceed standard wages that would prevent turnover? At what point will increased revenue allow for higher personnel costs? I’m sure they are monitoring all that and will adjust if/when necessary. I doubt that happens for at least 5 years though.

Exactly. I think it gets real interesting 2-5 yrs from now assuming the industry turns around at 2-3 yrs. While breeze has pay scales that go to 2025, I'm curious to see if they really hold to that and risk a mass exodus. The pilots they've hired are by and large young enough to jump ship for a better major and not give it a second thought if this pay remains where it is later. I doubt most of their hires want to wait around for years and years to get a fair wage.

Monthly Guarantee is 55 hours
Ouch! That hurts, but I guess I can't judge those trying to provide for a family while their airline just shut down. Good luck y'all.

I’ll be willing to bet a fully stocked snack basket that they will create some sort of pilot pipeline with UVU like they are doing with FAs. Mesa did something similar back in the early 2000s with their Mesa Pilot Development program.

Who knows, maybe it will be a huge bust in the long term,or maybe they will make airplane driving great again.
This is truth. To be able to get on the ground floor of Breeze with fast upgrades would be an amazing opportunity in the current industry. Their minimums are hard mins. 1000 hrs Turbine and E170/190 type is a requirement. I dont have the 1000 hr otherwise would be a hopeful for the 'low' pay.

Why go make those rates when you can go fly corporate and make triple the salary and have better medical benefits? I see a lot of corporate/part 135 openings.

are these pay rates the ones before covid ? If so how did they think they'd get anyone with those requirements and rates?

Many corporate/135 outfits won’t touch 121 folks because they fear they will bolt for the airlines as soon as they hire again.

That and they know how to say “No.”
