Just out of curiousity, why would you want to pay for an A320 type? I don't know of any company that requires a transport cat airliner type (aside from SWA)...

There is a TON of overseas flying. Supply and demand is finally swining to the favor of pilots. If you have a type, there is work out there for you.

A LOT of those require ACTUAL P.I.C. in the type though!!!

I would go through the guys at FTI in Denver. You learn what you need and dont bother with the stupid crap of other places.

I agree with you, a type rating without experience in type is pretty much worthless. Also, in the foreign market, US trained pilots are competing with pilots who hold a JAR issued ATP.

Aside from violating the forum terms of service by advertising his own goods and services, FTI is in the business of selling type ratings and not necessarily hiring pilots.

Buyer beware.

Such as?

Just curious what the breadth of experience is that you have with FTI and at "other places" to qualify your claim.

Just a thought: If no pilot paid for his own type rating, who would then have to pay for it?
