Has anyone heard any more of Virgin and the DOT decision? Will they start in the summer or is the DOT still waiting for something?

Skybus and VA were all over at the training center in MIA..... Pretty sure that is a sign that they are going to be starting soon. There "guy" in MIA said they expect to start "Julyish" time frame???

First it was late '06. Then it was spring '07. Now it's "Julyish". Next month it will be "fallish". After that, R.I.P.!

They are waiting for final DOT approval which should come very shortly. They sent in a response to the DOT and were waiting for objections to be filed. No one filed any objections this time so they should be up and running this summer.

What will their schedules be like does anyone on the inside know?

spinproof 04-22-2007 04:07 AM

i'm not on the inside but let me venture a guess...in the early stages I feel certain it'll go like this:

SFO>JFK JFK>SFO Repeat! Any questions?:)
