Default ID 90 Travel Insurance

I am looking at an ID 90 ticket on another carrier this summer and was curious if anyone has ever used the optional travel insurance successfully? It seems like if you don't get to your destination within 24 hours, you can use the insurance to get you to where you are going. Has anyone ever used this and do you think it is worth it? Thanks

How, exactly, would a SA ticket turn into a PS ticket? Would seem like you would not be in the insurance business long.

My understanding is their travel insurance provides for medical evac back to the United States if necessary. Is that true? Anyone have any recs for a travel insurance that provides for this? When I was younger I used to travel to the third world care free but with the family I figure this would be a must have when outside the developed world, even on a cruise perhaps. Just don’t know where to look.

So I called the company and spoke with them, the deal is besides emergency evac, medical canx and other standard travel insurance stuff, for SA you get covered for a hotel and transportation to and from the hotel if you don't get on SA.
