Opting out of facial recognition isn't easy

"I opted out of facial recognition at the airport but it wasn't easy"

That article link is broken but I found it in google. The article tells you all you need to know. 98% of sheep will go through like nothing is wrong.

Cool people repost the link instead of saying it's broken and that they found it elsewhere.

As an airline pilot who has already submitted multitudes of fingerprints, dna samples, and background checks over the course of your career, you’re now worried about a face scan? Baaa, baaaa!

I never gave a DNA sample (blood). I don’t recall fingerprints for a 121 job either. Background checks, yes.

Face scan by itself isn’t the issue, it’s the storage (hack/stolen) and how your data will be used. Washington Post is reporting the FBI and ICE have been using DMV databases for face pictures. I suppose sheeple like you don’t care about that egregious overstep either.

If you have social media, you’ve most likely given up a lot more privacy than is being given up using facial recognition.

I don’t, and for that exact reason. No FB, Twitter, Instagram, and whatever else the kids use these days.

“But it’s free!” they say. Nothing is free. If it’s free, you and your info are the product.

Data that's not specifically protected by law can be shared by government agencies at will. Privacy act may limit that, but it doesn't even apply to state/local governments. Also if you signed something (probably fine print boilerplate) that allows sharing between agencies, there you are.

You did get fingerprinted for new-hire SIDA checks. All of us do. If you were in the military any time after 1995-ish the feds have your DNA too.

Guess what? If someone has you in a picture on their facebook page and has you “tagged” as such, they got you already in regards to your mug. They already track you even if you are a non subscriber. We are already screwed 10 ways to Wednesday bud.

They actually don't need "your" DNA anymore anyway.... if any sibling, parent, cousin have given DNA they can triangulate you if needed. Ask the Golden State Killer how it worked out for him staying "off the grid".
