Default Quickest way to get PIC Turbine?

I'm furloughed from the big 6. Have flown domestic & international DC9, MD80, DC-10, 737, CRJ but just by dumb seniority luck have only accumulated about 600 hours PIC turbine and that's in DC10s & CRJs. Not that I'm the most experienced guy on the block but according to all the silly hiring quals I'm less qualified than a guy that's never flown a jet and has 1000 PIC Jetstream (Have 2000 hours right seat in that! ). So I've been contemplating going out and finding a job like a caravan to just get to 1000 PIC Turbine. Would like the help of my fellow colleagues in recommending where I can finish my PIC turbine as quick as possible? Thanks for the help.

T

If your willing to fly 135 and meet the mins, take a look at Ameriflight, you start in the pistons but move into turbine after about 6 months. It's all single pilot, so PIC turbine comes quick. I don't work for them, this is just what I've learned being a member in this forum.

I'm not sure which job you'll need PIC turbine for, but I know NetJets doesn't usually count caravan time as "PIC Turbine" time. This may be the case for others as well. Either way I'd do research on the companies you're looking at before you take a caravan job.

NetJets doesn't require PIC turbine though to get hired either...

Mesa/Gulfstream/Bigsky all hiring street captains. Pretty solid Part 121 PIC turbine time if you ask me.

Great idea but I'm not current so NetJets won't hire me.

With your qualifications you could probably go to Ameriflight as a street captain. Wouldnt hurt to apply and see what they say. Or like others were saying...apply at some regionals, try to get a captain position. Ya definately dont wanna go somewhere and get stuck as an FO for 2 years, if your short term goal is to just get PIC Turb time

Might try that. Thanks. Does anyone know if there are any regionals that are upgrading quick? I'll go anywhere but the southwest is my preference.
