This is a big thing, the vertical expansion is about double on the new verision (i.e. have to scroll twice as far to get to same forum/thread). The classic version is great because it's right there when the page loads, or a small scroll down.
Also, the new colors don't offer much contrast. The classic version is much easier to see, read, and understand at quick glance.
If it's not broke, don't fix it.

It was great the old way. Good thing I can switch back to the old version, great for use on mobile and zoomed in on smaller screens. Also the newer version looks washed out compared to the older version. Like the poster above me said, "if its not broke, dont fix it."

For the love of all things Holy, DON’T get rid of classic!
Don’t like the new one at all.
For one, when you switch back to a main forum after reading a thread, the new version doesn’t show different fonts to indicate if there has been a new post on the threads under that forum since you last read it.
At least the classic shows a bold-type font if there has been a new post, and non-bold if nothing new is there. Keeps you from having to waste times going into threads to check for new posts.
Plus that new look just gives me seizures!

New Version
The moderators asked for feed back on the new version. The thread that they asked for comments on locks me out an says I don't have permission to post there.
I think the new version has a decent enough look but for me at least one major flaw. In the classic version threads that have new post are in bold, this allows me to quickly see what might be new. The new version had all post in bold and I had to try and remember when I last looked at a thread to see if there were new post. I switched back to the classic view and will continue to use it until either forced to change or informed that the new version now has that feature.
This is a great resource for keeping up to date with what is happening in areas of aviation that I don't work or participate in. Thanks for the good site.
