SSSS

Used to airline on paid tickets 4 times a month when 91K,
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. SSSS. (one-way trips, bought day of travel). I would walk up to the TSA guy and go: "male assist, no alarm", while handing him over my boarding card. Went over REALLY well with them...

As someone earlier noted, this was a bigger issue post 9/11 for a couple years than seemed cool off. I agree that having one of the paid "enhanced" security programs helps limit getting the dreaded SSSS. I think the new TSA honcho's are just tightening things up and think flight crew are a soft spot is security. This will catch guy's flat footed when JSing, no doubt.

I agree about rampers, gate agents and any other airport employee with no skin in the game.
BTW, I've never been a Walmart greeter or flipped a burger.

You forget sport.... whose in front of the bulletin proof door... and whose behind of the bulletin proof door... the first and last line of defense. The scary part???? you have control of the plane.

I fly with many wonderful FAs. That doesn’t change the fact the barriers to entry are low and most have very little vested.
