How’s it work with the intercom in the a320?

On a related note, anyone tried out this puppy yet? I might finally take the plunge and buy my own headset

Whatever headset you finally choose, please, just remember to keep the ship’s set unplugged for the next guy.

That's probably the best endorsement possible. Thanks

Anything to improve your comfort in that uncomfortable plane, the better.

Clarity aloft’s on in a 737. I wear earpro on every walkaround as well. Just trying to save my hearing.

Airbus: headset off speaker on passing transition level.
Boeing / CRJ / ERJ : Always kept it on.

Bose headsets stay on the entire flight, with the occasional removal for a few minutes. Even without intercom, I can hear most captains better with the headsets on and ANR working, as compared to listening over the noise with headset off and on speaker.

I'm really noticing the hearing loss on a lot of captains that don't wear headsets, and it's bad.

I don't find it uncomfortable. Certainly, it's better than the droning noise levels for 5 hours on a transcon.
