Max days off
Looking for the most amount of days off anyone is getting, what company, equipment, base, and length of time at the company.

At Spirit, you can drop all your trips and get 31 days off. You won’t make any money that way though.
For simplicity’s sake, you can reasonably expect to get 5 hours of pay per day of work. Do the math with Spirit’s pay scale to see if that’s a good balance of pay and time off for you. Also keep in mind that you have to put up with a variable period of reserve where you can’t drop reserve days. You will get 12 days off in a 30 day bid period those months and 13 off in a 31 day bid period, with a 72 hour guarantee. |
We have 4 year captains here at F9 who hold 20-21 day off lines in PHL.

At SWA, standard line is 18 days off. Reserve line is 15 days off.

It actually had 19 off but I have two days from a transition trip in there. So my December line has 17 off with three day trips (Christmas and New Year’s Eve off) and it pays 104. Finishing up fourth year.

So your schedule is 17 days off, but your line is 19 days off.

Plan 17 off for a line and 15 off for reserve. You'll get more off on a line but 17.3 is our average. 20 off being on the high side. There are also ways to manipulate you schedule by how you bid. Conflicts from monthly overlap help, but you can also get hosed by scheduling so you have to know what you're doing.
This month with 1 week vac and monthly overlap I got 28 days off and pay of 64. I got lucky and did some extra flying so I'll end up with 22 off and pay of 131. Best ratio I've ever had. 4 yr FO at sw |
