Nobody is saying that it doesn't matter in a general sense, but this thread is about choosing an airline for work, not to just ride around in the back. Virgin America had a much, much better product than Delta - was that a reason to go work there?
I wouldn’t choose an airline based on GAs or FAs, but I did actually consider all facets of the company when choosing where to go. |

Yeah, but once you factor in luggage and strollers, assigned seats together, and what not, you won’t save anything going on a ULCC.

Go with the first job offer. Jump ship if it gets you in base sooner/longer, or if you really think the grass is or will be greener on the other side.
AA is the only legacy I didn't apply to. F9 is the only ULCC I didn't apply to. AA because every time I jumpseated on AA the crews seemed really disgruntled and unhappy, and F9 because they're run by an investor group with no desire to do anything but squeeze and squeeze. With all the options out there, I simply didn't think I needed to put myself into either of those environments. No place is perfect but at the time both of those just seemed toxic and unhealthy. AA's persistently high debt ratio and F9's cancelling of vacations during contract negotiations tell me my concerns were not unjustified. |
Cash me oussside girl banned from Spirit Airlines
Hey now. Spirit flys celebrities. Cash me oussside how bout dat! Given she won’t be flying spirit anymore but spirit does fly celebrities. |
“Fly celebrities” has to be one of the worst metrics for a pilot to use for an airline. But sure, keep jerking to the idea of a “celebrity” as a passenger while you eat your lunch off the maintenance can in a 737
