I was told by a Captain to NOT wear the shoulder belts that long as they wear the epaulets.
Seriously.... I was to flabbergasted to even reply. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

I’ll take this one! It keeps your trousers from getting “shiny” in the crotch area from the metal buckle. Keeps any grime from the belt off your lap as well. You guys must be fairly new to the biz

Not new to the business, but not 80 years old either. I just don't plan to stretch 5 years out of the company-purchased "trousers" by carrying a napkin around on 4-days. But do please wear your seatbelts in the hotel vans, nobody wants to go out like that.

How about the linen napkin under your lap belt guys? Any of those still around?

Some speculation that there is no insurance coverage during a hotel van accident if you are not wearing a seatbelt. I’ve been in a near death van incident.

I have heard rumor of worker's comp being excluded for failure to comply with routine safety rules (ie seatbelt). That's more plausible. |

Wear them every time. |
Would be nice if the belts fit me in the foreign vans.

This is why I run them under the epaulettes. That is what they're there for.
