I purchased these a year ago. Before any of this. And I only go to Costco three times a year so I’m also fine on toilet paper. There’s a difference between a prepper and hoarder. A prepper buys one extra over time so it doesn’t impact the supply chain. TP. Ammo. Meat for the freezer. Bleach. Sanitizer. A hoarder buys 27 cases of toilet paper during a mass panic and disrupts the normal everyday just in time inventory. I’ve had masks as a prepper for years. I do use them. I’ve donated almost all this week.

Masks and gloves are not effective the way most people use them. Putting them on leaving the house and collecting five hours of germs, all the while touching your face, glasses and kids and others without disinfecting or washing thoroughly is not as effective as washing thoroughly and frequently. All you do is accumulate every germ you’re in contact with and spread it to everything you touch.
medical personnel change their equipment frequently, between each potential exposure, and wash often.
no agency or government has recommended masks and gloves except for those who are high risk, exposed or positive, or medically necessary. And in those cases you shouldn’t even be out.

Yeah....the girl who served me Panda Express at the airport yesterday had gloves on while she scooped my food.....then proceeded to take my credit card and press her register buttons....all while wearing the same gloves. I really don’t think a lot of people know what they are protecting against.

As a food service employee, I expect her to protect the customer. It didn’t bother me much because I saw her put the gloves on before she served my food. I’m just used to seeing them take the gloves off to work the register. I just hope that she took them off before the next customer. But......the place was dead, just like everywhere else in the airport.
