Well I guess it's be easier to choke down kale and tofu if you couldn't taste it.

Suddenly not being able to smell the forward lav makes getting sick seem worth it.

Either shut down the entire country and impose a mandatory quarantine enforced by law for a min of 2 weeks OR resume life like normal and let this virus take its course. The government is not doing anything productive towards stopping the spread, especially if flight crew (essential employees) are allowed to continue working unrestricted. Where the f$ck is the logic in this!?? Our economy is taking a lot more unrecoverable damage than needs to be.

Agreed, what we’re doing now clearly isn’t working.

100% this. You either go all the way or you don't. What's the point otherwise. People say they are "self-isolating" here in Dallas but the parks are like NY subway, it's retarded.

I'm agnostic as to total shutdown vs. total release.

But either way the airlines are needed, there are still some vital sectors which need to function, and some of that requires air travel. The DoD couldn't even begin to provide the mobility needed for gov and mil workers, to say nothing of other vital industries. Also pax airliners carry cargo.

It might make sense for the fed to coordinate with airlines to minimize schedules to what's necessary, with no unneeded overlap.

The country’s response seems so half done at this point. Like we can’t make up our mind if we want business as usual or to lock up and quarantine. The uncertainty is destroying our economy

So the perfectly healthy young people and seemingly less vulnerable that die from it.. f them, right? We’re looking at 200,000 deaths in the USA with present stay-at-home measures. Open everything back up and watch that number grow exponentially. Do you honestly think any other country will let our planes land with a virus blowing up unabated in our borders? The economy ain’t coming back if you open everything back up, gents. And neither are our jobs. This will only stop being a major disruptor when a vaccine is developed.

On a lighter note, I’m glad you are recovering and I hope your sense of taste and smell return.
