I used to fly 91 in the same large cabin jet for a few years. That was white glove clean. Because we weren't slobs.
... and why is it that every time you get a plane brought in by a ORD crew it's like a pig pen ... Not always ... Just most.

Sorry, just to clarify, are we talking about “gloves”, or “gruvs”?

my bet is that they pronounce their English words better than you do your Japanese words. 🙄

...and they may be better at pronouncing difficult words such as “Aluminium”, “luxury”, “herb” and “ask”.

likely were turned over to the buyer with a full cleaning done. also, if pilots are not slobs in the cockpit and tidy up after every flight, that does wonders.

some of us do what we can but living/work/dining spaces need a real regular cleaning. Even if you are tidy as can be your home still needs a regular dusting at least once a week. Your table, kitchen, and bathrooms still need to be wiped and disinfected. Your floors still need to be vacuumed and mopped.

sure some guys are not as tidy as others but the cockpits still need a real cleaning involving a vacuum for the floor and all button panels, and a dusting and disinfecting wiping of every other surface. Glareshield/cubby holes/cup holders/yoke/side stick/sun shades/storage compartments and on and on

The nice thing about gloves is being able to use straight rubbing alcohol as hand cleaner without drying out. It's good to use gloves for any cleaning chemical.

I fly for one of those Japanese carriers and was issued the white gloves. I have never worn them. The Japanese that I fly with will wear them from pushback to after takeoff and then they are off until just prior to landing. So mainly just when they are going to be hands on the yoke.

They do keep their planes much cleaner than the western planes that I have flown at previous jobs.

Except the white gloves being discussed are FABRIC, aren't they? Purely an aesthetic choice, not for germ transfer.
