The media loves to use the phrase “exposed to Covid”
Very misleading. A lot of people immediately assume that you now have dozens of people fighting for their lives on ventilators when in actuality you might have one guy with a bit of a fever and cough and everyone else didn’t catch it.
I’m optimistic when I see busy restaurant patios but I do DoorDash pretty frequently and between a third to half my deliveries are contactless. Those people aren’t getting on an airplane anytime soon.
Here some other reasons people don't want to fly:
Interesting list! I would add:
- finding an attractive fare to go visit family or such, then contacting the people you want to visit to see if they’ll be around for your visit, then going back to the site to buy the ticket only to find the price is now 25% higher or more.

I always tip well beforehand. Deters the driver from dipping his testicles in your salsa. Which apparently is a felony in TN.
Give a good tip or get the tip in your dip.

Word...would much rather just fly than ride in the back. Many of the reasons Sonic posted is why I almost never non-rev. Between flying for the airlines and being in the military, I've traveled plenty enough to be pretty content with enjoying stuff locally, driving shorter distance or just flying myself if it's within 600ish NM. In the time it takes me to get from my house to the gate (with reasonable pads), I can be 400ish miles into a flight. Even flying in an old Cherokee 6 or Bonanza, you get treated great at most FBOs.
