I like my A20s. Bulky, yes. But on-ear designs hurt and I'm just not a fan of the lightweight in-ear ones, just personal preference there. I've had my A20s for 2.69 years now and other than a slight defect I've been too lazy to send in to get fixed (they wanted the headset for up to 6 weeks to repair under warranty), I like them. The defect is that mine seem to have an RMI shielding deficiency. So I get to hear ground radar chirps at several airports and in some aircraft I can hear a hum from the EFB charger. But that's just a minor annoyance and I'm happy enough with them to not want to use my issued telex for a month and a half waiting for them to get fixed. In a year or two or whenever I wear out the cord or plugs, I'll send them in for a complete refurb and have them work on the interference issue at that time.

Another vote for Clarity Aloft Pro. I tried the Clarity Aloft Flex a year ago and returned them (within 30 days). Same technology, different design (they fold). For me, I didn't like how they fit around my ears. The Clarity Aloft Pro fit much better.
The only way they get too loud in the 737 is if the earpieces aren't the right size (they make 3 or 4 sizes and give a sampler pack when you order a headset) or they haven't been changed in a while.

Bose QC-25 or 35 with the UFlyMike setup is the perfect compromise. Light weight, works great with over the ear ANR, comfortable, and not as big as the Bose aviation headsets. Bonus, you can use the QC headphones when flying in the back and not look like a tool.
They are not TSOd (yet), so if that is an issue, maybe have the telex headset as backup in case someone cares. I have yet to run into anyone who does.

Appreciate all the input. Looks like several for A20 and ProFlight+Clarity ear bud style. Any takes on the DC Pro X ANR?
Also, from what I hear the flight "kit" bag that I put on the side in the A320 will not fit the 737. Does anyone have a laptop/headset kit bag they recommend that fits? Or the dimensions I should be using to find a kitbag myself?

Had some concerns of on ear vs over ear, but found in practice it works great. I love how light it is, and how compactly it packs up, more than outweighed any concerns I had about on ear

I’ve used the Clarity Aloft Pro for almost 6 years on the 737. Requires no batteries, they are so light you forget they are on your head, their passive noise reduction rivals any Bose headset and their active noise reduction, the case footprint is minimal if you commute and they are the most comfortable headset to use with any kind of eye glasses.
