Phase 2 - B6

who's still out there on phase 2 from March interviews??? just started week #9 and I'm starting to wonder if I got it or not...

rvr350 05-27-2007 07:05 PM

Wow... and i thought those guys waiting in the April pool got it bad... If you go to flightinfo.com, there's couple threads discussing no class dates until mid-Aug., and possibly a few more and that's it for the whole year. My patience is certainly wearing thin, and I just like for once if they can let people know if they're actually hired or not! At least i can start planning my summer.

monkeynutz 05-28-2007 06:11 PM

I am still waiting from the April group. When my company found out I interviewed at JetBlue, I was forced to resign or be fired. Talk about making a long wait even longer...

Is that legal?

rvr350 05-28-2007 06:55 PM

How did your company find out? If they find out by the PRIA that JB sent your current company, you better look for a good lawyer, cuz it's a slam dunk.

WhyFlare 05-29-2007 06:56 PM

Im concerned about my employer doing the same thing! I know once the PRIA is faxed to office they are going to try and find a replacement. They will be upset Im leaving. Thats the joy of being a corporate pilot.

What rules would be broken if this happens? Has anyone sued and won?

rvr350 05-29-2007 07:15 PM

I'd start with your local state commerce dept for some guidance. Talk about wrongful termination...

greedyairlineexec 05-29-2007 10:27 PM

lawyer up, even if you live on a "rigth to work state" ( republican bs for rigth to fire and union busting state) you can still sue them, but is just harder. however if you ever voted republican and you work on rigth to work state you shoud not compplain, you asked for it.

rvr350 05-30-2007 06:34 AM

back on the subject, still crickets, anyone??

The board in our pilot lounge has a list of about 100+ folks between the May and April interviews in phase 2 still. If it helps you sleep a bit easier, it took me around 6-7 weeks from phase one to be officially in -- I was all mil background as well--apparently the quickest of background checks. I was practically on IOE when I was finally "in". There were guys from civ backgrounds that hadn't had the official word until later. I think we're dealing with such a large volume of folks in the pipeline it just takes a while. Some companies drag their feet on the PRIA stuff too apparently. They have 30 days by law and some wait the full time to respond. If there are multiple carriers in your background it can get compounded. I wouldn't be afraid to call our pilot hiring folks and ask. Good luck.

MTBrulz 05-31-2007 07:15 AM

I've been tempted to call but someone on the inside advised me not to...

MTBrulz 06-11-2007 10:22 AM

for those still waiting on phase 2 from may, I just got the call for a class...so hang in there...

greedyairlineexec 06-11-2007 02:26 PM

do not call in, it says very clear on your phase 1 email, do not call . some of us waited 12 weeks. if you reach week 14 and haven't heard anything then you can call, but wait 12 weeks.

Interviewed in March...called today

Topper 06-19-2007 05:33 PM

Well I just saw that the rejection letters are in the mail and some have received them today. I feel so nervous now I think I'll poo. Interviewing stinks, man I hope I get the call. I feel bad for the guys who's post I just read.

Luckily, I've been out of that game for a while. :)
