I’ve heard a certain part 135 canyon tour operator did the same thing. Furloughed the senior guys and kept the cheaper junior pilots. Non Union.

Interesting how companies treat employees during tough times. I would hope that it’s noticed and deters pilots from applying to these companies once things turn around and they are desperate for pilots again.

Emirates has let go (not furloughed) most of its A380 guys. 300 from originally 1800 are still left after the last round of cuts, only locals and some training guys have a certain job security. Seniority was not used in determining who had to leave.

"Interesting how companies treat employees during tough times."

There are technically only two operators who can fly the canyon. If its the one I'm thinking of they literally tried to run this terrible 135 operator like a 121 operator and literally thought their you know what didn't stink.

Yup, that's the one. Some fun further reading, look up how much PPP money they took from NV.

Theres a retired air force ground instructor that is very unprofessional and needs to go away. acts like its the 40's and people would pull their own weight. the chief pilot said she was "bored"flying jets...another ground instructor doesnt know what an oil analysis is and tried to tell me my dad shouldnt complain being a captain at one of the big three. EVERYBODY COMPLAINS if YOU were at the big 3 you would complain. telling is we arent allowed to eat in the fbo conference room during training gmafb.
good thing they are a well run operatoin thats why there was a caravan with a bent wing at a 40 degree angle because they didnt tie it down right?
