There shouldn’t be an option whether or not to pay dues at the airlines. The option is whether or not to go to a union company.

The example of non-union pilots coat-tailing was clear at SKYW when they would get what other airlines got plus some kool-aid to keep unions out without having to fight the fight, which is fine.

But everyone within a company should be in the same situation.

No one should be forced to join a union just to get a job

For all practical purposes they are.

Nobody is forced to join a union to get a job. People are free to seek employment wherever they choose. The company I work for happens to have a union. I chose to join it, because I wanted to work there. Nobody forced me.

You belong in corporate aviation. They'd love you.

Not at all! You can move from Washington to South Carolina while not losing your constitutional rights that you otherwise would going to Mexico. Freedom and liberty, you keep it when moving from any state to any other state. People take that for granted here. Our states are laboratories of democracy which US citizens are free to try out.

I was alluding to the fact that they are about as polar opposite as you can get and still be in the same country.

I’ve been to towns in Eastern Washington that were every bit as redneck as anything in South Carolina.
