I really like the G-2, but I’ve found I prefer the 1.0 Bold. Easier to read at night when briefing. And those who know me, know I like to brief!

I engaged with the Bezos commercial conglomerate (“resistance is futile, you will be assimilated”), and ordered a $]-[it-ton of Pilot G-2 cartridge refills. The cheap-a$$ airline pilot in me says I’m saving money. And the environmentalist in me says I’m keeping plastics out of the landfills and ocean.

You have an environmentalist in you? Better call an exorcist.

So, you understand where the name “pen knife” comes from. Keep your quill sharp.

Tactical pens are too heavy and awkward to write with. They are also stupid for self defense, you're better off with a flashlight.

Used to use one of those, but I have recently switched to a Sharpie S-Gel 0.7. It's awesome! And cheap!

have you ever tried to stab someone in the neck with one? Not as easy as you think.

I'd agree with you there. Not the flashiest pen, but I haven't found a pen that writes better. I do like the Zebra G-301 as well.

Any pen lovers out there? Not looking to spend $800 on a Montblanc. Needs to be small and able to write in the logbook well with triple pages.
you've been doing it wrong. The little notepads are far more handy and valuable.

I concur. The G2 is an excellent all rounder as far as gels go, they’re super comfortable, reliable and affordable outside of the free.99s IMO. Over a decade of use and I’m still happy with them fwiw.
