You gotta love the passenger interview. "Considering they only had one set of wheels in the back it was a GREAT Landing." LMAO!! Oh yeah, and he also said that "we didn't get any information until about five minutes before landing." Gee let's think about that one for a minute. "Ladies and gentlemen we are here with a grear problem and wanted to relay that information to you as we don't have time to work on it because as you know -- the customer comes first!" HA HA HAAAA Ignorance is funny and I've had my share. But I do know I wouldn't walk into a sale barn asking to buy steers at a heifer sale. It's amazing how people become experts when you throw a camera in their face.

For those of you that may not know a steer is a boy cow without the uh, "jewels" and a heifer has not had a calf. So there you have it you may have learned something today!

Gear emergencies have got to be the scariest thing to deal with since you aren't sure how bad it is going to be until all motion stops.

Obviously an excellent job by the entire crew ensuring no one was hurt!

Great job to the whole crew on that flight.

I like this from the article

"ABC7 News has learned this exact plane had a problem in 1994. It had trouble raising its gear after takeoff, so it turned around and landed right where it had taken off from in L.A.. It was an uneventful landing but it will be part of this investigation."

So 13yrs ago, and about 20,000hrs of flight something pops back up. Gawd I love the media

The media is like a huge puddle. It could be 1 mile across, but only an inch deep. After the Comair crash in KY last year, a Nashville reporter tried to interview the instructors at our school. We all ignored her. You never know what they'll say.

It probably collapsed from all the stress the gear gets from there high speed taxis.
