You know something? Most every news source I've looked at today has a story somewhere near the top about "United Pushing to Increase Diversity." At the same time, the couple of aviation forums I follow have at least one thread about it, if not more, with people arguing for and against "diversity."
I hate to sounds like just another tinfoil-hat wearing nutjob. However it's almost like someone, somewhere, is feeding all of this woke nonsense to the general public, in order to keep people arguing against each other, and not paying attention as to what's going on elsewhere.

Let’s say there are 10,000 people that meet the minimum qualifications from which to hire 5,000. But let’s say there are only 4,000 females and or non-whites. And the top qualified 5,000 are comprised of 4,000 whites and 1,000 female and or non-whites. Does that mean that they will hire the 1,000 non-whites, 2,500 of the 4,000 whites, and then skip over the other better qualified 1,500 whites and hire the less qualified 1,500 non-whites?
Or hiring the best qualified pilots has never mattered or doesn’t matter anymore?

I don't think anyone should be concerned. Just mark the appropriate gender or race box that will get you hired. I suggest transgender to cover pretty much all categories. If United doesn't hire you, sue. Isn't that pretty much how our woke society is working?

Deadly serious I would totally do that. It's not like they can prove or disprove anything, it's all about HOW I FEEL and the fact that I have a wife and kids is irrelevant. Maybe just a slight hint of mascara for the interview.

This is total nonsense.hey guys great idea let’s get rid of hiring by race and gender through hiring by race and gender. Idiotic. At least in 200 years there will a hiring initiative looking for white males.
All airlines.. and all jobs, educational institutions etc should truly get rid of hiring by race and gender by getting rid of the boxes to check on the applications. Hire blindly based on quals and whatever race or gender they happen to be so be it

Bingo.. even if you show up without mascara and just as a standard white male.. say I identify as a black transsexual. They can’t tell you that you don’t..
