Who needs inadequate crew rooms when there are American Express lounges at many airports? Another reason for internet, and mobile phones... especially when there delays.

Can you get in them without an actual boarding pass?

They have made it much more difficult.
You now need a boarding pass with a seat assignment, outbound only, and scheduled to depart within 3 hours.

The only hell hole is training in ATL...
IMO the facilities themselves are not bad, but the location is abysmal.

i see they caught on to the “standby pass trick” many were using to access the lounges.

I've never had this problem. As long as it's a boarding pass even without a seat assignment it still work. It's never been an issue with The club lounge, Amex Centurion lounge in Vegas or AS lounge.

Depending on who you're standby on. At Spirit, your standby pass will show a Zone number without a seat assignment. This qualify for the Amex Centurion lounge, since I have a zone assignment. I visited the Alaska lounge last week, they even told me as long as I'm not in uniform, they don't care that it's a stand by pass, as long as it's within 3 hrs of the departure time. All the lounges I've visited they don't even check the pass. They just scan it, similar to the scanner at TSA, to make sure it's a valid pass.

You have a boarding pass when you check in as a standby, you just don't have a seat assignment. That's the great thing about checking in as a Spirit non-rev. It will show a Zone 1, but no seat assignment. Having a Zone number will get you in to the Amex Centurion lounge. The other lounges I've been to doesn't even check, they just scan the pass to make sure it's valid. The reason Amex say a zone number or seat assignment is because SWA does have a "seat assignment" That's why Amex had to add Zone or seat in their T&C.

the break room for the sims is a total dump. Looks like a bag room straight out of Caddie Shack, I always found it funny they charge a quarter per cup of coffee too.

I forgot about the coffee thing, but I rarely drink coffee. Yeah the more I think about it, there was definitely room for improvements.

JetBlue’s wouldn’t be terrible if we didn’t share it with the flight attendants. They sleep everywhere and some even spend the night. The junk is everywhere, completely unacceptable IMO
