Default DEN commuter parking

Does DEN have commuter parking for pilots that are not based there? I know a couple guys that I work with that have land side parking, but when I called the parking office they told me it's only for employees that are based there. Did the person I spoke with not know what they were talking about? If anyone has any info I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Are you sure they were talking about ‘Land Side’ parking and not ‘Air Side’ parking?

Air Side requires a SIDA badge for access, so yes you’d have to be based out of DEN for that pass.

Land Side, as far as I know, just requires a form to be filled out and an employee badge for proof of employment. You shouldn’t need to be based in DEN for that. At least that’s how I’ve been doing it, but I’ve been on leave for a year so maybe things have changed?

Landside is where I park, I'm CVG based. You need a letter from your company and your Crew Badge. I think I pay $45/month...?
But it hasn't changed as far as I know.

You don’t have to be based there, nor does your airline need to have a hub there. However, your airline must serve DEN…at least it was that way seven years ago, when I got my pass.

Any insight if the same is extended to UPS/FedEx?

I'm going to go ahead and say yes as I managed to get a pass and fly cargo.

I'd say I've seen a few families in the past, so I guess it's OK but I've never tried myself.

no one cares if you bring your family on the bus, but I usually drop mine at the curb and go back to the lot. It's win-win. I catch up to them with KCM.

right now, since there's no shuttle drivers, employees are parking in east economy and can walk into the terminal. It is *so choice*
