Out of the 12 things you listed Covid is the only one that has a vaccine that you can take to prevent not only unneeded death, but also the greater chance of spreading it to others so that it could possibly kill them. Out of the 12 you listed a few "could" involve other peoples death but again, no real vaccine. Only unwanted pregnancy's = no abortions is already trying to be passed through many states and the 228 GOP legislators that want the supreme court to overturn Roe, so yah, that ones already happening. We can go round and round on this but in the end, there is a way to end this and right now I say just let it play out. At this point its really only killing those too stupid to get a vaccine.

There might not be a vaccine for those activities but they’re almost all personal choices. People CHOOSE to do those things. So you would laugh at someone dying of diabetes or choosing to put up Christmas lights? Do you laugh at people who die in car accidents when they could have taken a safer mode of transportation like trains if they live in a big city or an airplane if they were driving to florida for a vacation? Do you laugh at people who overdose on drugs and die? Seems to me most normal sane people would acknowledge they made mistakes but still genuinely care that they died of something even if they CHOSE to do it.

This line of thinking is just stupid. It’s completely avoidable. If 300 people a day died of plane crashes that were +90% avoidable people would be up in arms and things would change. Don’t downplay the 300 dead people everyday because it fits your narrative. Lots of people probably regret not getting the flu shot when the die from that too.

Listen you and I are probably really close in opinion, the only difference being that I think you’re stupid for your choice. Again, let this thing play out. No masks, no lockdowns, no mandates. More than three hundred thousand people die of obesity related illnesses each year in perpetuity costing the economy billions. Covid was huge, but it’s transient. Unlike the obesity epidemic, it will end. The fix for obesity is easy, regulate the diet of every American, but no one would stand for that.

Instead we’ve gotten so obsessed about fat shaming (no one should be shamed or feel ashamed) that in response MSM glamorizes obesity, especially among black women where obesity related illness is the number one killer.

The impact of Covid is tremendous but we’re focusing on a transient, albeit devastating disease with protocols whose effects are debatable. It’s something that we could equally let run it’s course but we’re using it to manage people’s lives.

Obesity and the related impact has no end in sight and there’s no talk about fixing the problem.

I'm sure that a portion of that 300 died of something not covid related yet at some point tested positive either within 30 days or posthumously thus being marked as a covid death. Hence the point that not all reported covid deaths are from covid.

I'll go back to my alcohol analogy. 255 peolpe die a day ad infinitum in America due to alcohol use. 80% of COVID cases are senior citizens, while vast majority of alcohol victims are younger. For the user, 100% avoidable. Don't not forget those killed or maimed by drunk drivers, children and wives who are beaten, girls who are raped, jobs & reputations that are lost, relationships destroyed. Yet, 100% avoidable, zero appetite for prohibitions..in fact its downright celebrated. Cheers!

Nice post, and to drive your point even further the top three causes of death per the article are all largely preventable:

"An estimated 95,000 people (approximately 68,000 men and 27,000 women) die from alcohol-related causes annually, making alcohol the third-leading preventable cause of death in the United States. The first is tobacco, and the second is poor diet and physical inactivity."

The difficulty in drawing attention to the above is that none of them can be effectively politicized or profited from, which is sad but true. The COVID monkeys get off on stomping their feet and pounding their chests because they get to point fingers at everyone else and pretend to be the hero while entirely missing the bigger picture. The reality is the leading causes of death in the US could be mitigated by taking a long hard look in a mirror and owning up to ones self.
