No negotiations at DL.
Company requested mediation right after the contract went amendable. Couple meetings happened before the world shut down for Covid.
Fed govt isn't allow mediators to travel yet, and even though zoom meetings exist, virtual meetings are not being used.
RUMINT is in person mediated meetings to start back up beginning of next year.

Was there a list of asks delivered from the union to the company?

The union delivered a conceptual opener in July of 2019. Late fall of 2019 a formal proposal on the money sections of the contract was delivered to the company. The company filed for mediation within days of receiving the proposal. The ask was rumored to be a over 3 billion on a then 5.5 billion contract.

That was pretty close if I remember correctly, which is probably one of the reasons the company requested mediation so quickly.
Pretty ridiculous considering I'm forced to put a justification for not doing video teleconference every time I travel for the military. If there ever was a time for virtual meetings, this is it!

Not technically a legacy, but SWAPA is holding a rally in Dec. Don't think it's specifically for negotiations, but to protest the operation of the airline of late.
The union did a complete rewrite of the contract and finished their presentation of it to the company a week or two ago. It's in the company's court now.

Also not a legacy, but at Brown we signed a two year extension right as Covid hit. It bumped up pay by 4% this year and 3% next. The A plan multiplier also was increased. At the time (March 2020) we felt lucky to get it done right as Covid was crushing the economy. Now, with 6% inflation this year it feels less great. Not complaining, just funny how things play out sometimes. Hoping, FedEx, Delta, and United can push up the bar on pay and retirement before we enter negotiations again. Also, curious if the Teamsters will strike UPS when their contract expires like in 97. If so, IPA guys will be needing strike funds as well.
