I hope he found an option after 2 years.

lol, no $hit. And a one post wonder no less. These bots are getting clever aren't they!?

Really though, Kinder Fluff is the way to go. Intended to shield kids in the back seat of a car (hence the "kinder") but popular enough in airplanes that most of the ads I've seen have photos of it being used in airplanes. Just make sure to order the darker of the two varieties made by Kinder Fluff. A set of four typically sells for about $15 on Amazon. I carry two and those two will last me about two years before they wear out. The other two in the set of four? I lose those over the course of that 2 years so I end up ordering another set of four when I need to replace my two. Oh well, cheap enough to justify two every two years.

^^^^^^^^……that. My flip out/folding shades always in my flight bag and have been for about 3 years I bought for $8 in the automotive clearance rack at walmart. There is nothing else short of a can of black spray paint on the window that could do better.

What size? Seems like everything is either too big or too small for the DV window.

I picked these up off Amazon about 2 years ago, they work really well. Two mostly opaque shades that fit the R2 and R3 windows very well, plus two translucent polarized rectangular ones that you can adhere to any window. Price was a little high at $65 for what you get, but they have worked great and held up well so far.

These are the best 737 shades I have ever used. I owned a pair as a FO and they lasted 6 years of heavy use. I left them in an airplane right about the time I upgraded, so hopefully someone is getting good use out of them now.

It’s genius. Dude got some two ply reflective vinyl, grommets, and suction cups from Harbor Freight and cut them to fit. Worth every penny. Keeps the cockpit about 10 degrees cooler on a hot day.

I have them too. Too cheap to buy new ones when I switched seats, so I popped out the suction cups and turned them around (silver side in). Still works 90% as well.
