Check out the magnetic sunshades, which easily fold up and fit in your flight bag. Not only do they provide UV protection, but they keep your cockpit cool during long flights. I bought car window shade for myself and am very happy with them, as they provide excellent protection from the sun. Investing in a good set of curtains is worth it in the long run. Have a safe flight, and stay calm.

I don't pay someone to clean my house because I can't clean my house. I pay someone to clean my house because I don't want to clean my house.
The time and energy invested in making a set of window shades is the equivalent of about 10 minutes of flying the line. I think I'll leave it to the experts.

I think like this. My wife does not. Just last week I spent an entire day of my time putting together a shed she bought that required home assembly. About the time I finished, she makes the comment about saving the $100 professional assembly fee.

LOL. Well I ultimately gave the JustPlaneShades a try. I still have them although they are not the best solution. Handling them is like handling Saran wrap and sometimes they don't stick. I used to have an awesome custom fit set of folding shades like the OSI ones but were mesh type. I'd prefer something that doesn't need suction cups or sticks. I might snag the OSI ones however would prefer see-through.

I’m assuming you wouldn’t block the windows out with a fed or check airman on the jumpseat.😁

You know there are 2-3 rheostats directly above your head to control that specific parameter. 😁

That would require pilots to start the APU and disconnect ineffective ground air. Still can’t believe how many don’t understand that concept.
