Reading between the lines... Anything better than CAT-I is banned near 5G... so CAT-II+ will be banned at all large airports, which are all rolling out 5G infrastructure in their terminals. And even if the airports don't have 5G, I'm sure there will be some outside of their perimeter under short final. There has also been ongoing discussion as to whether individual 5G cell phones pose a threat, and I think the jury's still out on that. This could be a really big poop-show. Especially when combined with GPS interference from that terrestrial internet provider. |

Hasn't China been rolling out 5G in a much bigger way than the US for the past couple of years?
Seems like there would be some relevant data on Boeing and Airbus products in use on the Chinese mainland. |

There are 3 different bands of 5G. I think we are using different bands than they use in Asia. Could be wrong though.
Lower limit to ensure bandwidth, upper limit to ensure range. |
If this actually prohibits CATIII ops, hopefully it's only temporary until the FAA decides it's safe enough.
Hard to imaging this would be a long term issue? |
It would seem like the long-term fix would be a next generation radar altimeter that is less sensitive to the 5G spectrum. In a just world, this would be funded by the 5G providers.

So aircraft have been secretly radiating people with 5g for decades? Why has mass media covered this up?
