Anyone use Clear? I just noticed I can get Clear paid for from my AMEX card. I non rev travel and have global entry as well, wondering if it’s worth taking the time to do. Since it’s paid for, should I sign my wife up also? Will I ever even use it?

It’s a placebo.

A few years ago I was Diamond Medallion and got it for free, and concluded that it’s a total scam. Most of the time the line for Clear was the same or longer than the “Sky Priority” line.

There might’ve been a handful of times where it saved me a few minutes, but I would save your money.

Maybe it’s better now?

Between KCM, the crew line, and PreCheck I can’t figure out where I would ever use it, but if it’s free maybe just give it a shot and see if it’s worth it to you.

That’s what I was thinking. Since it’s a “free” Amex card benefit, might as well check it out.

Don't they take a facial / iris scan?

With KCM, does it make sense to get PreCheck?

If you like to take your family places it does, BUT get Global Entry instead. It is $20 more but includes Precheck.

Can't I just go through the KCM line (assuming there is one) while the rest of my family goes through PreCheck?

KCM is only for domestic travel. If you are leaving the USA, you have to complete normal passenger screening.
