I'm definitely a bit surprised.
I guess we will have one giant ULCC in the country. |

No way the DOJ lets that happen, only one ULCC in the country? And it's two airlines people hate. They would have had a better chance with the JB merger and JB just making spirit go away. The flying public in general doesn't like Spirit anyway and wouldn't care if JB took over.

NOBODY is going to allow JetBlue to eliminate the largest ULLC in the country. B6 is obviously scared to death of this merger. |

F9/NK will be big, nationwide ULCC but technically there will be Allegiant, Sun Country and Avelo also competing in the ULCC market. |

This is not correct. Not really going to get into the why because I don't care

True Sun country/Allegiant/Avelo will still be competing in the ULCC market but compared with a F9/NK merger they don’t have nealy the market share that new company would. At the end of the day none of what happens is up to any of us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Family metaphor… OK. Most families have a ‘cousin Eddie’ on some level. I see this as Spirit deciding they want to be a Clark and not an Eddie.
