I love this quote from a previous post on here. What kind of person thinks that pilots 'let' management do anything. Last I checked management was just that, management.
What I meant was that personally I would never seek employment at a company that’s circumventing a legal contract with its employees by creating an alter-ego company. Sort of defeats the whole purpose of a union if management at a company can simply create an alter-ego corporation simply to avoid dealing with a specific union/group of employees.

So yes, management did let them decide. In this case the decision was as simple as applying for a job there.

“What kind of person” does not understand that?

PS. I have a friend there and yes, he is still my friend. I do not consider him a scab because he never crossed a picket line. I do disagree with his decision though and I made it very clear to him; that’s about all I can and will do.

I'm furloughed TSA. Why am I out on the streets while Gojet is hiring?

I understand what happened back in 05. TSA guys basically didn't leave any options, rather it was all or nothing but management still decided to start a different seniority list which is basically illegal. They got a way with it because the scope in the TSA contract wasn't clear enough. Still I don't believe in treating GJ pilots with any respect. At the end of the day they are flying TSA airplanes and I'm 100% sure they know it. Technically they're not scabs but you tell me what is the actual difference with what GJ pilots have done? I pray the company merges so we can take care of those guys accordingly, and word is Hulas is looking to merge as soon as AA flying goes away. By the way this should be in the regional forums.

For those who are pro GJ (thread resurrector) just ask yourself why you have to hide your company credentials to jumpseat on most other airlines?

It's pretty pathetic from what I saw when I was flying at TSA. Although I've heard a lot live in either STL or ORD anyways. For other guys it's either company JS, sneak through on UA.

That's funny, we said the same thing about you guys when I was at Eagle. And yes, I was furloughed too when TSA was "leased" the Eagle planes to fly.

I'm sure someone from TSA will say how it's different, or somehow try to justify it and differentiate it, to make themselves feel like they are better than GoJet.

Personally, I don't hold it against TSA pilots. Many at Eagle do. Just goes to show it's all a matter of perspective. Every group seems to have a grudge against someone.

Sorry to hear you're furloughed. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Good luck.

Hey, it's 1015 and the thread is still opened. Where can I pick up that Subaru?

Does this ridiculous argument ever go away? TSA was not created by AMR to take eagle's flying... THAT is how it's different. Why is that so hard for you guys to notice?

Hopefully you didn't quit Ealge for GJ... otherwise you whole argument wouldn't hold. But anyways it's totally different because first of all you're getting those airplanes back. 2nd, people had no control over that situation it's management's doing. And by the way most of us are being furloughed because of those airplanes. Last time I checked AE isn't furloughing. I didn't even know when I signed for the job TSA had 10 "borrowed" airplanes from AA. That basically equals to not having a job down the line as most likely AA would have wanted them back.

Those pilots that are flying for GJ right now chose to be there and they fully know that those should be TSA airplanes.

End of the day, TSA wasn't set up to circumvent Eagles contract and fly bigger planes for crap money. Simple as that. Gayjets was set up to circumvent TSA's contract to fly bigger airplanes at crap wages, perpetuate that whole "get a leg in the aviation door at any expense, even if it means whoring out my skills at a lower wage" mentality and attempt to break the will and spirit of Transstates pilots. Which it did not do.

If I attempted to give my truck drivers cargo van wages and said "this is to get your leg in the trucking door" they would laugh and GO find somone else who paid industery standard, not hard to find someone who does!
