Cal Tells Crews To Sleep On Airplane No Hotel For You
#81

The corporate culture at CAL is basically a legacy of Lorenzo. All labor is labor and all management is King. This has been the axiom of our country since the early 80's when the average CEO made 42 x's the average employee's salary. That ratio is now more than 420 x's the average employee salary. CAL's a great company......after a while, you don't even miss respect anymore.

The Airline Deregulation Act (ADA) was introduced by Howard Cannon, a Democrat from Nevada. It was signed into law by President Carter, also a Democrat. Democrats are more responsible for where we are now than are Republicans.
I'm no Bush fan, but the President has very little to do with airline salaries. The fact is that when airlines are losing billions of dollars, they are going to cut wages, benefits, work rules, etc. The other main factor is that many pilots seem to be willing to work for peanuts just to fly for a living.
It is not the government's job to force companies to pay you above your market worth.
