Letters of Recommendation
 

This seems like a silly question but the answer doesn't appear to be black and white. In the 'Recommendations' section for any airline app, does that only apply to internal recommendations or would airlines like to see any recommendation letters from appropriate, external individuals, as well?

Both. Most will have an option to describe the type of letter be it personal, business or in house.
