SWA August Interviews?
 

Has anyone gotten a "call" for an August interview yet? Saw all the chatter on the big pool, wondering if interviews are slowing also?

As far as I know,interviews are still happening. A buddy of mine was called for a 6 Aug interview.

Re:Interviews - I haven't heard that they were slowing interviews, but it is true about the 300+ in the pool right now.

Guys interviewing in August won't see a class date till next year.

Is that confirmed about the August hires from HR?

I got an email for an August interview but when I called to confirm they were already booked so I am looking at September now so interviews must still be going like gangbusters by the looks of it.

Or, they reduced the number of interviews per month which is probably why you didn't get in for August.

Either way I'm happy to be getting an interview!!

I got called for the July interview, they filled up too quickly so now I have the interview on August 6th. I do not have the type. I applied back in April and got the e-mail around the beginning of June. I flew C-130s out of Pope, if anyone cares, between 2000 and 2004.

I got a phone message today from Gina at SWA saying she had a confirmed class date for me in August...but she did not say the date (just asked me to call back to confirm). It was almost 5 PM when I got the message so I got her voicemail. Anybody else talk to her about August classes today??

I'll ask to make sure, but I think it was in May...so not that long.

When did you interview? Did you have your type when you interviewed? My pool date is March 19th and I'm hoping to start in August. Just curious. Thanks.

I talked to Sandy on Monday. She says no decision has been made on # of classes and when for Aug. Sounds like you will be in the next class after the 18 July one. I still got 4 classes ahead of me.

I interviewed with type on 19 Mar, got a call from Diane today for a 1 Aug class date. I believe she said there was going to be 3 classes in Aug, but I didn't ask the dates.

More calls went out today for the 1 August class. Looks like mid to late march pool dates.

Yes, I asked Lindsey Lang at the HPA SWA open house when it was going to be.

I interviewed the last week of June and they (SWA People Dept.) informed us that there would not be a DB in July. The next one would not be untill Aug. Does anyone know for certain if there was a DB today?

I believe that your (last week of June) folks' DB is in August. I had a bud interview on the 25th and the HR dept told them that with the 4th of july the following week, their packets would not make it to the July board. I do believe that the DB was today for the folks that interviewed the first three weeks in June. FWIW.

I just interviewed yesterday 7/11 and Rebekah said the July interviews may see a class in Feb or Mar. She also said that the invites for August had already gone out before the growth slow down was announced. She didn't mention a time frame for classes for the August interviews.
