Table Manners?
I was going to mention this in the other thread but I feel like it deserves it's own.
I don't know how some of you were raised but it's clear that some of you should do some research on how to behave at a dinner table. One example that I've been noticing as of late has been the way some people hold their forks and knives. I saw some dude stab his steak with the fork straight down and cut around it like he was carving a roast, then put the knife down and switch hands with the fork to take a bite. I stopped doing that at 5. You're supposed to have the fork in your left hand and knife in your right hand and cut it the same way. https://image.shutterstock.com/shutt...t-79735339.jpg Again don't be the "ugly American", you embarrass yourself and others around you when you lack basic manners and don't abide by basic social norms. |

I grew up in a house without a flush toilet. Sorry I didnt get etiquette lessons as part of my pre school. I try to not be offensive but we only had one fork size in my house. I just cut a steak the wrong way while sitting on my couch in the crashpad watching the Motocross des Nations. While listening to the French broadcast with German closed caption. And understood 90% of it. But oh noes. I used the knife incorrectly. Back to the ancient farmhouse with an Outhouse for me. So Mrs. Manners, how do you eat hot wings? I gotta hear this crap. |
