I'll assume you didn't read the previous posts because you would have seen that I merely wanted information and expressed I wasn't looking for a job there. I have no intention of working there. I was just curious to see what Pan Am III is like these days, that's it. My questions have been answered and I'm finished with the topic. I would be crucified by a few family members from Pan Am numero uno if I ever worked at Pan AM III. I guess my topic title was a bit misleading. That's my fault and I apologize.

Hey Blastboy,

Usually when someone asks on this board or any other board for that matter about info regarding an airline or place, its usually because they at least fishing around to see who is hiring what, how many and when. I don't know about others, but for me...it kinda bothers me that the name is still around (in miserable fashion) and just hate that a once proud name and worldwide icon has been taken so low.

I also thought you wanted info and was looking to see if they were hiring, but you corrected me. well....on to something NOT depressing.....lol

Yes, I was just curious as to what their standards are, pay, etc. By no means do I seek employment by them. Just curiosity to kill the cat and nothing more. Dad and several uncles (all ex 727 and 747 Pan Am) would have my a$$ if they even found out I was asking about this. :o HeeHee? Makes me feel better that dad doesn't have an account on here now. :D

I agree with you that Pan Am should just rest easy. Sorry for not making that clear. I have fond memories of the crew at the training academy, the flights to everywhere and jumpseating with dad on occasion. What a great group of people that was!! All I wanted, growing up, was to fly right seat with Captain dad on the 747 out of MIA. If they were still in business, that's where I would be right now. Darn it all! Sometimes it saddens me to death to think that all those years of anticipation to work for the best airline in the world evaporated like water in '91. I sometimes still read the old training manuals, look at pictures and chat with dad over a beer about how great it was to be a part of Pan Am. I even keep an original Pan Am crew tag on my trusty little flight bag. I could go on forever about my memories of Pan Am. >sigh< Sure do miss her.
