Side by side with management(IS that you MARK wearing that Nice commuting jacket in your picture with Stealin')-you ARE kidding RIGHT!!??
WOW... you did hear about those management bonuses-umm and where did that money come from?? It wasn't Stealin's fault that he got $26.5 million the BOD MADE him take it
Delta is doing a whole lot better as everything they got is IN THEIR CONTRACT.
Oh and how LONG is our contract?? Then of course with the usual NWA management?? style they will refuse to come to the table. Majority will be retired or dead before there is a new one.
To say the contract sucks is an understatement beyond belief.
VOTED NO!!
Flyguy1 can't be a NWA pilot.

Who cares if NWA (management) is taking heat? If you are not suffering under this contract, then you should at least be worrined about your fellow pilots who are "taking heat" from the paycuts and increased workload imposed on them by this contract.

We should be concerned that in many ways we have the worst contract in the industry.

I don't think I will comment on anything else that guy said, because I think it's flamebait.

I will say that we need to find so way to get the hell out of this contract. It's not only the pay that sucks, but it is part of the slap in the face we have taken.

As taken from this website:

UPS

Second year FO pay in
2008: $112/hr
2009: $122/hr
2010: $132/hr
2011: $143/hr
2012: $149/hr

Northwest

2007 757 Captain pay $142 per hour......

Oh, if you want you can add our 1.5% yearly raise. But, it's not really worth the hassle. It still sucks with the raise.

Just to put it in perspective for Flyguy (if he's for real): A 2007 college graduate could get hired by a commuter airline (Compass) this year, fly for them until 2011, get hired by UPS and in his second year make more than an NWA 757 captain. Enough said.

That is a valid question. I am on the road...again... I did not see the letter personally, my Missus opened it up and told me about it.
If she didn't round file it, I will ask for more details when we talk next time.
My apoligies if I have led you astray.

No PM priviliges here either and can't find any "Careers" section on their website. Please send me the skinny if you can

Yeah, that really puts it into perspective doesn't it. I'm not real good with the union rules. I don't guess there is any way to force a new contract before then? Or hope I guess I should say.

New Hiring window is supposed to open real soon, within the next couple of weeks, the company said it projects the need for approx 300 new pilots. (Subject to change of course) They are not coming from Mesaba or Pinnacle because of the freeze put in place by the the contract. I believe you have to be at Compass for 30 months before you can transition to NWA I dont know what it is for Mesaba....Hiring is supposed to start in Oct....Hope that helps

I think Monday July 23rd. the window should open. That was from an internal letter to the pilots from VP of flight ops. It also said the need for 300 pilots in the next 12 months.

Good luck!
